Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Dining Dollars and JayBuck$?

Dining Dollars are accessed through your student ID card. They come with your meal plan and are only accepted at participating ON-CAMPUS locations. Your Dining Dollar balance does not roll over at the end of the semester.

Jaybuck$ are also accessed through your student ID card. The Jaybuck$ account is funded separately from your meal plan. You may add Jaybuck$ at any time during the semester. The balance will roll over for every semester you are a Creighton student. They can be used for dining on campus in addition to various off-campus merchant locations.

Can I change my meal plan during the semester?

You can change your meal plan within the first two weeks of every semester.

I have special dietary needs. Will I be able to get full use of the meal plans?

Of course, we can accommodate your requirements! For more information, please email dining@creighton.edu and you will be directed to our Resident Dining Director Tasos or our Executive Chef Rich.  

I'm a parent, how can I order a surprise for my student?

Can I still eat on campus if I don't have a meal plan?

Yes! Anyone can eat at the resident dining or retail locations on campus by paying with cash and debit/credit cards.  Ask the cashier for pricing. 

What do I do if my meal card (student ID) gets damaged or lost?

Go to the Card Services Office located on the lower level of the Harper Center in Suite 1094.

Can I still eat on campus if I'm Faculty?

Yes!  You may eat at any one of our dining locations by paying with cash or debit/credit card. Please email Brenda.Stanek@sodexo.com with any questions!

Is the unused balance for my meals carried over from week to week?

No, Sunday brunch begins a new week. All unused meals will be dropped.

Where are the retail locations?

Wareham Court-- 

Wareham Court is located on the lower level of Skutt Student Center.  Included at this location is Mein Bowl, Hissho Sushi, Godfather's, Mediterranean Cafe, Corner Market, Simply-to-Go, Erbert & Gerbert's, & Sombrero's.  


Jack and Ed's Marketplace-- 

Jack and Ed's is located on the lower level of Skutt Student Center.  Included at this location is Hissho Sushi, Godfather's, & Simply-to-Go. 


Starbucks--

Located across from Jack and Ed's Marketplace on the lower level of Skutt Student Center.


Java Jay--

Located on the lower level of McGloin Hall. Home of Open Mic Night!


Brew Jay--

Located inside the Harper Center next to the Bookstore.

Important Info

Using Your Student I.D.

Your Student I.D. card is for your personal use. Please, do not allow others to use it. If someone else is discovered possessing your card it will be confiscated. This policy is for your protection against unauthorized use.

Meal Swipes

  • Tax-free spending at all on-campus dining locations
  • Designed for All-You-Care-To-Eat dining locations
  • 9, 12, & 15 Meal Plan holders can use up to 3 meal swipes per day if they so choose
  • Only one meal swipe can be used per meal period unless the student is an All-Access Meal Plan holder
  • All-Access Meal Plan holders can use unlimited meal swipes during each meal period (Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner; this is not a 24/7 Meal Plan Option)
  • Meal swipes expire at the end of each week (Start Sunday Brunch - End Saturday Dinner)

Dining Dollars

  • Tax-free spending at all on-campus dining locations
  • Designed to be used at any retail location on campus, however you may also use them to pay for meals in the resident dining halls if you run out of meal swipes
  • Unused Dining Dollars expire at the end of each semester (This is a declining balance account; you cannot add more dining dollars when you run out)

Our "Seconds Policy"

There is an unlimited seconds policy, except once a month on premium nights. Please take what you want, but eat what you take. Food items must be consumed in the dining room.

Meal Periods

Breakfast: 7:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.

Lunch: 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Dinner: 4:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Late Night: 8:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.
